Week 10 simple searches was a great method for providing additional articles that I have not seen before. These simple searches were completed with the following databases, Applied Science & Technology Abstracts, Business Source Premier, and Computer Science Collection.

My topic is regarding cloud security within financial institutions.

Simple Searches

  • Database: Applied Science & Technology Abstracts

    • Keyword: Cyber Security
      • Results Returned: 3,404
      • Potential Article APA Citation: O’Neill, P. H. (2019). The US is under cyberattack. What happens next? MIT Technology Review, 122(6), 52–55.
      • Usefulness: Potentially very useful. This talks of a hypothetical attack on a gas pipeline. Wait, look back at the year, 2019? Yes, this was an article that covered the potential hack of a gas pipeline, and it did What was even more eye-opening, the potential hack was against a pipeline that was in New England. This one caught my attention and I read the whole article because I was in disbelief that something already studied actually happened.
    • Keyword: Financial
      • Results Returned: 855 (Narrowed to full text, and 2020 – 2022)
      • Potential Article APA Citation: Khattak, S., Jan, S., Ahmad, I., Wadud, Z., & Khan, F. Q. (2021). An effective security assessment approach for Internet banking services via deep analysis of multimedia data. Multimedia Systems, 27(4), 733–751. https://doi.org/10.1007/s00530-020-00680-7.
      • Usefulness: Could be useful for purposes of knowing that security is important for financial institutions. However, this used services from Pakistan so nothing relevant to the United States security.
    • Keyword: Cloud
      • Results Returned: 2,603
      • Potential Article APA Citation: N/A
      • Usefulness: Not very useful. I searched for an article that would relate to my needs and I ended up typing “Cloud Security” to get better results. Which in turn returned 20 results, not the best database for my specific needs.
    • Database Business Source Premier

      • Keyword: Bank Cyber
        • Results Returned: 398
        • Potential Article APA Citation: Comfort, N. (2022). Banks told to be vigilant on cyber risk as Russia tensions rise. Bloomberg.com.
        • Usefulness: Somewhat useful. It does not have any information just a general awareness for banks to know there are risks and to widen their cyber defenses.
      • Keyword: Phishing
        • Results Returned: 2,094
        • Potential Article APA Citation: O’Leary, D. E. (2019). What phishing E-mails reveal: An exploratory analysis of phishing attempts using text analysis. Journal of Information Systems, 33(3), 285–307. https://doi.org/10.2308/isys-52481.
        • Usefulness: Potentially very useful. This is a peer reviewed literature that accounts for financial institutions probable phishing attempts and what types are sent to them.
      • Keyword: Cloud
        • Results Returned: 10,297
        • Potential Article APA Citation: Zou, J., He, D., Zeadally, S., Kumar, N., Wang, H., & Choo, K.-K. R. (2021). Integrated blockchain and cloud computing systems: A systematic survey, solutions, and challenges. ACM Computing Surveys, 8, 1–36. https://doi.org/10.1145/3456628.
        • Usefulness: I narrowed down the results to peer reviewed and the first response really caught my eye. This is exactly the type of information I am looking for when it comes to cloud security. Integrated Blockchain is a new type of security many are focusing on.

          • Results Returned: 777
          • Potential Article APA Citation: Edu, A. S., Agoyi, M., & Agozie, D. (2021). Digital security vulnerabilities and threats implications for financial institutions deploying digital technology platforms and application: FMEA and FTOPSIS analysis. PeerJ Computer Science, 7, e658. https://doi.org/10.7717/peerj-cs.658
          • Usefulness: Very useful. This is an article I have already used and continue to reference to.
        • Keyword: Financial Institutions
          • Results Returned: 434
          • Potential Article APA Citation: Choi, M., & Kwak, J. (2021). Rationalization of network segregation for continuity of financial services following COVID-19. KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems, 15(11), 4163-4183. https://doi.org/10.3837/tiis.2021.11.016.
          • Usefulness: This article could be useful as it covers network segmentation. Not many understand the importance of segregating networks. This applies to all networks, not just financial institutions, but the article is specific to financial institutions. Could be useful information on the importance of segregating a network.
        • Keyword: Hacking
          • Results Returned: 598
          • Potential Article APA Citation: Yang, B. (2022). Prevention of business risks of Internet information security platforms based on blockchain technology. Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience, 2022 (7671810), 1-10. https://doi.org/10.1155/2022/7671810.
          • Usefulness: Useful for both small and medium sized businesses, not unique to just financial institutions this article provides more detail into blockchain and how to prevent risks.

This study includes information about Blockchain, a potentially new security feature that can be programmed for cloud security purposes. The study also covers potential security issues with Blockchain in the cloud environment. The authors of this study have various degrees in informatics across the world that brings together the importance of cloud security no matter where we are located. The authors are all industry experts that provide a peer-reviewed article of data collected about Blockchain and Cloud Computing. This article covers different aspects of the possible models of integration, related works that already have blockchain established, and the current standards of cloud computing with Blockchain.

      I *think* that I have fixed these citations. I believe if you learn from your work and update it, repeating it over and over is the best way to apply it to memory.
