My initial research idea was block chain technology. The focus of the research will be to conduct statistical test and obtain data that proves that blockchain technology is the answer to fraud prevention in Financial Intuitions. Blockchain is a system of recording information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to change, hack, or cheat the system. A blockchain is essentially a digital ledger of transactions that is duplicated and distributed across the entire network of computer systems on the blockchain.

My primary and secondary research questions for my proposal are:

Can chain block technology eliminate fraud all together?

Can chain block technology detect fraudulent activity?

I think it will be an overwhelming amount of research data for me to use to address my proposal research idea. I’m already very familiar with blockchain technology and I’ve used crypto currency which uses blockchain technology. I think my research proposal will outline and provide verifiable data  that the technology is a viable solution for financial institutions across the globe.
