For my initial research idea, I had a couple of topics that I was considering including robotics, artificial intelligence, and xenotransplantation. For my current research idea, I have narrowed my topic down and want to research artificial intelligence. I have chosen this topic because I feel like it relates to my major area of study which is Information Networking and Telecommunications. One main question that I plan to investigate is what is the future of artificial intelligence? A second question or an alternative to my main area of research is how will artificial intelligence benefit our society? I have already found one article “A Mind” written by Will Douglas Heaven. Heaven (2021) states that today’s AI is nowhere close to being intelligent nor conscious. I plan to use the Forsyth Library Databases to conduct my research. The three databases that I plan to use are Computer Source, Emerald Insight, and Global Issues. I think these databases will be the best ones to begin with because they provide the latest information on my topic, they offer full-text scholarly articles, and a global viewpoint on my topic.

Good day Kristy. I read your post and I think you choose a valuable research topic. AI technology has been in the news for the last 10 years. It’s spread throughout society and will continue to be the future moving forward. AI technology has almost taken over the car industry which affects all of society. Do you think reboots will be common place in the future ? Do you think reboots will eliminate specific jobs humans did in the past ? Will this help future employment or hinder it ? I think you choose excellent research questions that should reveal very interesting themes you can write about for your proposal. Great topic and I look forward to reading future posts.

I think that you have chosen a great research topic to pursue. I’m sure that there are many good articles that you can find that have to do with AI. To help out in your searches, it may be beneficial for you to narrow down your key words to find some specific articles that pertain to certain aspects of AI. I am also using the database computer source for my research because I think it is a great source for informatics topics.
