My first post I said I wanted to research something along the lines of Cyber Security and Hackers since I get asked a lot in my field about email hackers, hackers who get credit card information or hackers who take over a person computer.
My main question to research is how can we prevent hacking? Is there something we are missing in the steps to really protecting ourselves?
Second question as a backup would be What kind of questions do hackers ask to get more information out of you?
I found one website with some information on it so far. It gives steps with how to prevent hackers. Some ideas it gives is, Antivirus, Antispyware, Firewalls, Using strong passwords, and be careful with where you click/shop.
I will continue searching each day to find more information especially on the databases available to us in our library.

It is unfortunately impossible to prevent all hacking because of the fact that new software exploits are always waiting to be discovered. You can only protect yourself from the threats that you know exist. But hackers are always finding new system level exploits that can only be fixed with a software patch after they are discovered. Fortunately, most hacking can be prevented because it consists of taking advantage of users lack of knowledge. The best defense is knowing the common threats, such as phishing, so you don’t get taken advantage of.
