The internship that I am looking at is particularly intriguing because it involves work that will directly impact clients.

Hi Lucas!
I find all the potential employers you picked very interesting. The only thing I suggest is to add at the beginning what exactly you are going to school for and looking to do. If I didn’t know you already I would of been somewhat confused. Besides that you did awesome in researching.
Hi Lucas,
Great job on researching possible employers. I have a suggestion about your mindset questions. I would shift it more to asking about the culture at their office? That way the employer and potential employee both have a clear understanding about the workplace.
This is quite a diverse group of potential employers, any of which would really allow you delve deeper into code and software development. I think that FIS and Sourcegraph would likely give you the greatest potential for honing your skills though. With companies the size of Ratheon, you could spend the next five years of your life debugging code someone else wrote. While that can be educational all on it’s own, if you’re really looking to contribute something substantial yourself you may get burned out. I used to work for a human resource consulting firm like Businesssolver and really enjoyed the experience. Just looking over their site makes it look like it would be a really great atmosphere which is an intangible perk all it’s own.
Hello Lucas,
I think that you made some very interesting picks for potential employers. I personally am looking into telecommunications jobs and also some other technology oriented jobs as well. I like how you chose some diverse options, as I think it is important to keep your options open especially with pursuing your degree. I would encourage you to look into Sourcegraph in the future. This company seems to do a great job of letting employees work independently and work with some original code. Coding can be a stressful and tedious job, but with some influence to create your own original code, it can become very fun and rewarding!
Raytheon always seemed like a good one! Defense contracting in general sounds nice. Do you have a security clearance?
