Why I’m Interested In ISG:
ISG is local to me as they have an office in Salina, KS and I live in Salina. ISG is in an industry that relates to my degree. ISG has been in business for several decades and stability is very important to me. Their “Our Purpose” statement aligns with what I want out of a career. A portion of the statement reads “We’re a family-owned company that’s been unlocking possibilities for communities for generation” (ISG – About Us, 2020). I have worked for larger companies before, and it would be nice to have a smaller, family feel to the workplace. I have had experience with their services on a few occasions and their employees were always nice and went out of their way to help. Learning about ISG and their history has strengthened my interest in them more than was previous.
Questions To Help Me Succeed:
- Your company is local and national. How much will travel be a part of my duties?
- This is my first job in the networking field, what tasks can I expect be a part of my initial duties?
- Since I might be a new employee, will I be in a probationary program where I will have to have my work checked by a supervisor? If so, what all is involved in that program?
- What percentage of the work done by the company is networking related?
- Will there be instances of me working in a different area of the company?

WCCIT is a smaller company that works mainly in my area. They provide services that are in line with my degree, and I am familiar with the services they provide. I appreciate their process of working with their clients, finding out their needs and fulfilling them. Making sure the client has their voice heard is important in any design or build process. Reading about how they accomplish that part of their business made me interested in their company.

Working for a business that has several options for the work I would be doing would remove the possibility of boredom. After reading about the variety of their work and dedication to customer service, JABIT is interesting to me as a potential employer.

Why I’m Interested in Reach:
After reading the culture section of their website I got a family feel from their business. Reach seems committed to their values. Their values and their services align with what I would like out of an employer. Plus, they aren’t located too far away from my home. If there is travel involved, it won’t be too far. After reading about the services, they provide and their culture I became more interested in them as an employer.
