Potential Employers

The four companies I choose to conduct research on are the following as it relates to the assignment. DC Housing Authority, NIH, FERC, and USPTO.  I choose these companies and government agencies because of the innovative technologies they use as well as many other attributes. I currently work in the IT field and feel after graduating with my degree in Networking and Telecommunications my chances will only increase to work for one of these companies or others.

My interest in the company:

I would DCHA be considered a federal government agency or a district of Colombia government entity because it is in my best interest to apply for permanent employment soon primary because of the old school pension plan that virtual doesn’t exist in the private sector any longer.

My interest in the employer:

My interest in this company increased because of the mass hiring that they have been doing. The mass hiring was in response to the company’s growth, which is one of the primary things I am looking for in a company. I also liked the fact that they pledged five hundred million to help a minority owned business.

My Interest in the employer:

I worked for USPTO early in my career. The experience ended up being a very positive one even though it didn’t initially begin that way. The USPTO is the largest government agency I’ve ever worked for and still is by far one had one of the most complicated inhouse applications to support for some 10,000 plus end users. I found myself interested in pursing a career with them months later after I got past the initial shock of constantly being overwhelmed with technical assignments, I was held accountable for.
