Diffusion of Innovation: Cryptocurrencies

We all have heard about cryptocurrencies in the news or even have your own in a wallet/exchange. This concept has been around for a little over a decade. I remember bitcoin was a joke and I was not about to spend real money for what I assumed was fake money.

OH I WAS WRONG!

Bitcoin has had lots of ups and downs as with many other cryptocurrencies. Through the years it has gone from being basically free to worth 65 plus thousand dollars. There are several other crypto’s available that I you can “invest” in. The world is slowly starting to adopt it. The utilities could push the world in a much different direction. For me I am at the implementation/continuation stage. There are several businesses that are starting to accept crypto as a means to purchase things. I made my first purchase recently using bitcoin to pay a friend of mine for something he bought for me on military leave. As cryptocurrencies continue to grow and more businesses accept it, many others including myself will be at the continuation/confirmation stage.

As I brought up earlier about not buying into bitcoin early on, I would consider myself in the late majority stage. I am all for the adoption of cryptocurrencies but I was obviously skeptical in the beginning.
