Hello, I’m Lucas Mader, a junior at FHSU in Informatics. I currently live in Hays and work for the FHSU Blackboard support team. If you ever call TigerTech with a question about Blackboard, I might be the one helping you! For my research, I would like to cover the roles of data science, ai, and simulation modeling in engineering or biology. I think that engineering and biology could benefit greatly from such technologies and I would love to learn about how those technologies are currently being implemented and how they could be implemented in new ways.

Welcome to the class Lucas! I am always interested in the advancements of engineering through tech also. I think that moving forward with humanity there are so many possibilities for technology to benefit people and the planet by finding practical and advanced workarounds to the problems we face. A.I has definitely came a long way and it is interesting to see how much it is slowly becoming integrated into everyday life. We now have our own personal A.I assistant on our phones that has access to loads of information/connected to web. We have our Alexas in home listening to our conversations waiting for a key word (hey alexa). It is interesting to see what direction A.I will take but also scary.
