Dalton Miller Introduction and Research

Hi everyone! My name is Dalton Miller and I am a sophomore here at Fort Hays State University. I am currently pursuing my bachelors degree in informatics with an emphasis in telecommunications and information networking. I am also on the football team as well.  I was born in Plano, Texas but eventually my family moved to Great Bend, Kansas and that was where I got my high school education.

I started out as a computer science major but decided to switch to informatics because I wanted a broader understanding of technology. Computers, phones, gaming systems, and any other form of technology has always been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember. One of my favorite hobbies is to tinker with technology and try new things with them. Another hobby of mine is sports, I have always liked playing football and this has led to me playing here at FHSU. I also enjoy basketball a lot and spend a lot of time watching the Dallas Mavericks lose.

I  do not currently have a specific research topic that I have chosen but I do have some general ideas. Technology is always advancing and I think that is interesting to look ahead into the future to see just how much AI and other technology could affect our everyday lives. I am also interested in telecommunications and how improvement can be made to make cellular communication faster and more reliable.

  1. Hello Dalton, my name is Justin Korbe. I always have been curious about technology mainly computers. I just took a class that I think you might be interested in. The class is called Public Policy, Law, Ethics in telecommunications. In that class we went over a decent amount of information over telecommunications. If you want to know more information on the class just let me know. Other than that good luck this semester!
