Introduction and Research Topics

Hello everyone! My name is Chaun (pronounced “Sean” or “Shaun,” yes it is weird…I didn’t choose it). I guess you could say I am a senior at FHSU getting my second bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security. I previously went to FHSU about 7 years or so ago and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. I have been in law enforcement in the Denver, Colorado area for over 6 years now. I have had many ups and downs during that time. I love to help others but there are many dark sides to the profession (things/people you deal with, especially in a big city). My job has become very politicized and my priorities have shifted since having a kid. I am hoping to make a career change soon and am excited for what the future may bring.

I have several hobbies that I seem to rotate in and out. I like to play in the stock market, go to concerts, lift weights, camp/fish, play video games and golf.

I am unsure about what topic I would like to research. Some ideas that come to mind revolve around COVID/ vaccines related to my current job in law enforcement. I think I could get some good information from the people around me. I could go in another direction and research stock market manipulation or meme stock hype. I am all over the place.

  1. Chaun,

I laughed out loud at “I didn’t choose it” – and understand that completely with the name “Kaci” most times I get it mispronounced and always spelled incorrectly.

I can only imagine how hard it is to work in law enforcement right now, but thank you for what you do!

I think the information on stock markets would be beneficial for those that do not follow stocks for sure!
