I created this example in a previous class. You can watch our discussion in the video below.

I found the article in Sage Premiere. It has about 27 references, most if not all, are related to Community of Inquiry. These references are definitely worth reviewing to see if they are relevant to my research.
Through Cross Referencing, Sage Premiere found 11 articles that cited Warner (2016). A few definitely aren’t relevant, but it’s worth taking a close look at the list to find the few gems that probably cited this article.

Subject Term: COMMUNITY of inquiry
When I clicked the link for the subject term, Ebscohost ran a search for DE = “COMMUNITY of inquiry.” I wanted to test whether that was a subject search, so I also searched COMMUNITY of inquiry or “COMMUNITY of inquiry” as subject terms. Each search had different results.
When I used “COMMUNITY of inquiry” as a subject term, there were 156 results. Adding AND research methods provided only 8 results. None of those results discussed CoI in a research methods class. So the search was not very useful. I may need help from the library differentiating between Research Methods as a class and Research Methods in research.
