Deadline: Monday, March 7 at 2pm Central
It’s that time of year again, almost the middle of the semester! That means the midterm is coming up soon, expect it next week. This week:
- Work in your small groups to check your article reviews.
- Finish the reading to begin preparing for the midterm.
- Look ahead to your final research proposal assignment.
Week 6 Replies:
Your article review was due last week. Take a look at the articles your group members posted. Could their articles be helpful to you? I hope as group discussions continue, you will find common sources and ideas that are helpful to each of you. For this week, post a reply to at least two group members’ article reviews:
- Do you think something could be clarified?
- Did their review help you better understand a topic?
- What did you think of the article in general?
- Do you think they did something particularly well in the review?
Choose at least one of the above topics to discuss. Make sure you give it some depth. Replies should be a minimum of five sentences and generally should run no more than three paragraphs.
Grading FYI: If you never looked at the W1 feedback I posted on the blog, please do. Also, to catch up, I’ll be focusing on what I can grade fastest or what will be most useful for your next or future assignments.
As I write this, that’s presentation replies. I do still need to finish grading those Week 1 replies, so if I haven’t finished grading yours, don’t fret.
And, if you are worried about the quality of your work in the class, I’d first remind you to review rubrics. Second, find a time to meet me. Grab something on Calendly, but if that doesn’t suit your schedule or you need a day when we can text each other, email me.
