Summary
My proposal exams the hypothesis that desktop computers have reached their zenith in our society and are clearly on the decline.  In my study, I propose to examine through observation various retail locations in my community to see how many desktop computers are being sold in a particular day, and to log what other competing devices are being sold as a supplanting substitute.  My study will further investigate whether purchasers of desktop computers will opt to repair the machines if they should fail in the future, or it they will simply dispose of them.  My goal is to determine the viability for continuing to offer desktop PC building and repair services in my small business, or if I need to pursue other technology avenues for my business’ continued success.
