The research topic I chose was how facilities are documenting the Covid vaccine on patients and how and who can access that record. This is a newer topic as Covid is only a little over a year old, all of my sources were recent however, I did have to be clever on what key words or subject words I was using to find newer or different results. It is difficult because most of the time when I put in Covid-19 and vaccine I received results relating to side effects of the vaccine and not how facilities are tracking it. This is mainly for the facilities that are in different states or any kind of means of travel can verify proof of vaccine from the individual. During my research, I had quite a few results come up of people falsifying their cards and how easy it is to buy a blank vaccine card online for those who do not want to get the vaccine but not have any restrictions.
The first site I used for possible sources was the National Institutes of Health-(NIH)
– I used Covid-19 Vaccine Tracking – It did not give me a specific number of results but went through 30 pages of results with 20 different articles on each. I would say about 1/3 of the results that came up were related to my search topic.
My second site was PubMed.gov
-I used Coviid-19 Vaccine tracking for this as well and received 99 results.
I used PubMed again for my next search of Covid-19 Vaccine passports and only received 7 results, however, only a couple really related to my topic.
My fourth search was at The New England Journal of Medicine. I used Covid-19 vaccine tracking and received 22 results.
My final fifth search was on the Center for Global Development website and searched Covid Vaccine database tracking. It returned 3733 results.
I have found tons of sources and information about my topic, as I do keep researching and looking at topics I did seem to keep coming up with the same information. I do believe I have reached saturation on this topic. However, I do have enough information I need.
