Final Search Types Week 12

My research topic is “the impact of prolonged isolation in relation to space travel”. For my final searches I decided it might be interesting to go a different route than in my previous searches.  Since my previous searches had been for the effects of stressors to a long duration space mission crew, I decided to look for things that could reduce the stress for them within the constraints of the mission profile.  My search started in the subject of technology.  I selected the database Gale Onefile Computer Science.  I went with this one since it was most likely to yield a stress reliever that was both small enough to fit on a spacecraft and since I am in the technology field it would be interesting to see what kind of options exist to relieve stress.
My first search was for stress management it returned 97 magazine articles, 49 academic journals, 563 news stories, and 1 video.  I did find an abstract about using an online discussion group to help moderate stress.
The article that I decided to back search was about relieving stress on a family car trip so actually not that far from what I am actually trying to research given the cramped conditions and long term small area confinement.  When I back referenced this paper I found one that was about cars and social work.  It cited 35 other works but I could not find the number of times it had been cited.
