Advanced Searching: Quantum and Cryptography

The database that I utilized for the search was Computer Source through EBSCOhost. I added and altered several different combinations of Boolean operators in order to try and find the best results for my proposal. The information I have found should steer me in the right direction to conduct a deep dive into the effects of quantum computing and quantum networks on cryptography and cyber security. I find this research very useful due to the fact that all of society is moving more and more of their daily lives and businesses online. With that comes the need for protection of that information. That protection is now in question with the advancements in quantum computing.

  1. Excellent post as usual Samuel. Quantum computing is going to be a big thing for the advancement towards computing with regards to security and it will effect virual everyone who is uses a computer to access the internet more so than people realize. Once again I thought you did an excellent job selecting credible databases and utilizing Boolean search techniques. I honestly have been catering my advanced research sytle after yours. I always read other groups post but I believe by far that you another student go out and beyond each time you post. You definitely have a nack for advance searching. Great job Sir.

  2. Samuel!
Great searches! I did not even think to use peer reviewed for any of my limiters but I knew that being such a new topic, I was unsure what I would find. I liked your advanced searches and think you have some good sources for your final project. There are many key words to use for your searches that I think help you out. I didn’t have too much luck with EBSCOhost. I’m glad you did and found some good sources. You always do such a great job! I look forward to seeing more!
