Covid-19 Vaccination Cards- Paper or Digital?

After starting to research more deeply into this, I have come to the realization that the vaccination card is a better topic to write about. I have read that the vaccination card that you receive when getting the vaccination, is the only proof you have. There is a lot of debate on this because there are sites that are selling blank vaccination cards starting at $200. There has been talk from the CDC that the U.S lacks a central database for immunizations due to privacy concerns, which leaves the temporary card as the only record of shots.
The two databases that I have picked to use are Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition and Google Scholar. I would like to see how and what the plan is to digitalize the vaccines, instead of having a “passport” card. As the paper is easily manipulatable.
