Gale Academic OneFile was my initial resource. While the quantity of articles is limited, I located two pertinent sources. After completing some research, I turned to ProQuest Database, which is significantly larger, and provided me with three more sources. Finally, I searched EBSCOhost for articles pertaining to preferences in web design. EBSCOhost has fewer sources than ProQuest, but several may prove to be helpful in the future.
Searching ‘web design preference’ in the ProQuest retrieved 693,974 results, 4835 results in the Gale database, and 1560 results in EBSCOhost.
‘Website design preference’ returned 772,420 results in the ProQuest databse, and 7 in the Gale database. EBSCOhost returned 1246 results when prompted with these search words.
When I entered ‘website design age’ in the ProQuest database, the search revealed 1,041,207 results. The same search in the Gale database produced one academic journal, 3 magazine articles, and 21 news articles, but 2636 articles in EBSCOhost.
Searching ‘web design preference age’ returned 60 results from EBSCOhost, 4830 results from Gale, and 41,6010 results from ProQuest.

Good day Rebecca. I read your post and I think you did a wonderful job with your advanced searches . Although Gale Academic OneFile returned a considerable less amount of results pertaining to website design that database is very good with offering access to international journals and research articles. You definitley will have many databases choices to support your research topic. I’ve done some novice level web design myself in the past and look forward to reading your final paper. Excellent post.
