I read the instructions for the paper as well as the rubic and thought they seemed pretty easy to understand. The only thing I am nervous about is finding an idea that will be good and has to do with informatics. I am still thinking about doing how Informatics influences traveler’s destination choice.
I am going to be doing a little bit of it each week so that I do not do it all at once. I think the key part in this research paper is time because there are a lot of parts to it.
My hope is that there will be information about this topic. If there is not enough information about this topic then I will reevaluate and discuss with Professor Loggins. I think it would be interesting to see the Informatics side of a traveler deciding their destination. I think the one thing I could possibly have trouble in finding in this topic is the methodology.
The one question I do have is the formatting of the paper. Does it have to be single or double spaced? How many pages should it be or does it not matter?
Overall, I am interested in this paper and think it is a good idea in applying everything we have learned over the semester.
I would think that I would hope there wasn’t a lot of information. It would leave the field wide open for you to formulate your questions, determine what research exists that might be applicable, and leave a lot of room for you to formulate a question you’d like answered. Once you have that, you have a framework to work with and a lot of room to work. A field that has had a lot of research done will make it harder to come up with a question somebody else hasn’t already answered.
