I would like to do my research project on machine learning and how it can be used in healthcare. What are the positives and negatives of it? I have done some research on the different ways machine learning can be used to improve healthcare, mainly in diagnosing certain diseases, but am interested in a broader picture. Reading through the project proposal, I have a few concerns.
My biggest concern is that I will not be able to find enough material to support my research project. While working on the article review, I struggled to find an article that I found interesting but also pertained to my topic. Machine learning is still new and is not yet adapted publicly in many places. It has a long road to go in healthcare.
My other major concern is that I will mess up when citing references. In most papers I have written, there have always been at least one or two instances where I did not get a reference correct. Ever since I started doing writing assignments in high school, I have always been worried about being accused of plagiarism.
I also don’t think I realized how in depth this project was going to be until I looked over the proposal information. It looks like there is more work involved than any research project I have done before. I am excited but also nervous to take the concepts we have learned so far and try to apply them in this project correctly.
