I read the proposal project instructions several times and realize this project will be a bit challenging . I say this because many of the concepts I’ve learned this semester were very complicated to comprehend and then to be able to apply them in a research proposal that has many guidelines to follow but I will do my best. My specific area of concentration is Telecommunications and Networking so I plan to research and write about  ways to increase one’s ability to pass industry certifications one needs to become a network administrator. Most people think when they graduate with degree specifically in Telecommunications and Networking that you will get hired as jr. network admin but the reality is many people start working in the helpdesk.
I want to bring awareness to this issue because many people will never become network administrators even though they have a degree in the field. Most people are not aware that one will need industry certifications in Microsoft and Cisco in order to advance from help desk to the networking infrastructure team. Many are not aware of the degree of difficulty involved in attempting to obtain these particular certifications which  are CCNA and MCSE. Unlike taking college level courses where you can read and study material for exams certifications require a level of real world hands on knowledge that one must have previous before attempting to sit for these difficult exams. Many people are under the impression that they can attend a 8 week boot camp and pass these exams until they realize the fail rate is extremely high.
