Google is a technology company that specializes in internet related products, including online advertising,  search engine, cloud computing, software and hardware.
History
Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were attending Stanford University (O’Connell, 2018).  Together they own about 14 percent of its shares and control 56 percent of the stockholder voting power through stock (O’Connell, 2018). They wrote a $100,000 dollar check to get the company going (O’Connell, 2018).
Current Outlook
Google net worth is over 300 billion dollars (- et al., 2021). Google currently has over 135,000 employees (- et al., 2021). Google is the dream work place for many developers around the country.
 
Interest in the employer because of this research
There was nothing I found that I really didn’t know from the research. Although I was a little bit surprised on how few employees they have. I figured the number would be a bit larger than 135,000. I did find the history of how google came together pretty interesting.
 
Questions I would ask in a interview:
-How is the feedback process?
-With Google being such a large company, how is the workspace culture?

Facebook is a social media website that allows users to create profiles to connect with friends or any topics of interest. Users are allowed to share pictures, music, videos, and articles, as well as their own thoughts and opinions with however many people they like.
History
Facebook was founded on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes in a Harvard dorm room (Sraders, 2018). Facebook quickly become the mecca of the social media world (Sraders, 2018).  In its first year it accrued over 1 million users (Sraders, 2018).
Current Outlook
Facebook current net worth is over 528 Billion dollars (Berry, 2016). They employ over 58,000 employees (Berry, 2016).  By many job expert Facebook is currently one of the top places to work in the United States.
Interest in the employer because of this research
Its kind of hard not to know a lot about this company as they are in the news a lot and the most popular social media site. I didn’t realize it got a million users in its first year.

David Hitz, James Lau, and Michael Malcolm established NetApp in 1992 (NetApp, 1970). NetApp is an American multinational company selling data storage solutions and components (NetApp, 1970). Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, NetApp has been one of the top companies in the industry for a long time (NetApp, 1970).
Current Outlook
Netapp net worth is 15.6 billion dollars (NetApp, 1970). They currently have 10,500 employees (NetApp, 1970). Their main headquarters is in Sunnyvale, CA. Although I would be more into working for NetApp Wichita, Ks location.
Interest in the employer because of this research
This has become one of the top places I would like to work for, especially since we have a local location and me with a family of four, would not have to relocate. NetApp is a company that has continued to grow over the last decade and by all accounts is great place to work for.

Cessna Aircraft is an US general aviation aircraft manufacturer headquartered in Wichita, Kansas (Textron). The company many produces small aircraft and business jets. Cessna is one of the highest-volume producers in the aviation world.
History
Was founded by Clyde Cessna and Victor Roos in 1927 (Clark, 2016). Was then purchased by General Dyamics in 1985 then by Textron in 1992 (Clark, 2016). Then 2014 Textron merged with Beechcraft, Cessna ceased the operation as a subsidiary company then joined other as 1 of the 3 distinct brands (Clark, 2016).
Current Outlook
Textron networth is currently 13.6 billion (Textron). They currently have 35,000 employees (Textron). They are one of the leading aircraft industries in the world.
Interest in the employer because of this research
Now I do not want work in actual aircraft industry, but this was a choice of mine because I have heard great things about being a developer here. The research I felt back that up.

-I know layoffs are part of the industry, but do you plan to laying off employees anytime soon?
-Is there room for growth for me in a successful company like yours?
-What is the company culture?
