1. Consider ways to take notes from articles in your literature review that will help you accomplish the two tasks above.
In order to connect the literate to my study I would need to accomplish two task which are to come up with an outline of topics that the literature review should include and to scrutinize elements of the research question and the research plan that is taking shape. If I were to do my research on what the dangers of artificial in intelligence to accomplish the first task I would need to describe what artificial intelligence is and why it is important to study it. After that I would need to create an outline describing the benefits and disadvantages of it. To accomplish the second task I would need to inform the reader about any other information that is important to the topic. Such as if there is any know way to prevent an artificial intelligence from going out of control? What are the prevention strategies and have they been tested? Were they successful?
Heres what the outline for my research could look like.
Example of Artificial Intelligence Research Outline
Definition of Artificial Intelligence
Importance of Artificial Intelligence
Disadvantages of Artificial Intelligence
Reason for fearing Artificial Intelligence
Roles in Preventing Rouge Artificial Intelligence
What information about each article would you need in your notes in order to be able to combine findings and summarize them by topic or theme?
To combine the findings in the articles I would need to organize the information and find the relationship between the sources. Once I have found the relationships between the source I would need to mention them as a ground and not individually. If I were to do my research on Artificial Intelligence the reading would need to know that are the dangers of AI. If there are any ways of preventing rouge AI. Also if there has been any research on AI that has gone rouge and why it went rouge. I would need to show in my research all the information and related to the dangers of artificial intelligence.
What details might you want to have on hand about the design of each study to compare or critique the research design?
I think I would need a main source in order to compare any other source I find. The main source would have to been from a certified expert or an association with background on the subject. I would also want to have on hand what information to pay attention to and which one to ignored. I would need to filter the information that is the most important to my research topic. Another important detail to have on hand about teach of the studies is how they are outline. If each of the studies have a similar outline then I would know which information is the most important and I would get an idea how to shape my own outline.
