Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve seen significant new developments made in the way we track and fight viruses. One of the latest developments is the development of the mRNA vaccine, which is an improvement on traditional vaccines and allows more rapid development and production, in addition to reduced manufacturing complexity and cost.
Overall this technology is in the early adopters category, mainly driven by shortages and the rate that it can be produced and made available to the general public. Because of this I would be considered a Late Majority, because of my lower risk category.
Other types of innovations where I would have fallen in a different category usually are around technology. I consider myself an early adopter with most new tech products and standards.

Looks like we chose similar categories for our posts this week. I also wrote about the COVID vaccine. I consider myself an early majority adopter because I don’t have the influence or the financial ability to fall into one of the higher categories.
