I would like to conduct research on the difficulties faced by people who are in isolation and the kind of implications it has on plans for the future colonization of Mars and other celestial bodies.  Since current technology permits only a small crew for a mission to Mars or beyond it is important to understand what effects the isolation can have upon the crew of such a mission especially considering that as they move further from earth the communication becomes more and more difficult.
