    1. My motivation for researching this topic came from the overall application of personalized medicine. Better understanding of the drug delivery material can directly impact our views of medicine and create a less expensive, more personalized approach to treating osteoarthritis.

  1. Is the biodegradable polymer PCL more environmentally-friendly than the other solutions used in the study? Please explain if that ended up being more useful in this study vs the other solutions used. When I see biodegradable mentioned anywhere, I take notice since I’m always interested in environmentally-friendly approaches.

    1. PCL is commonly considered eco-friendly in other applications as it can be easily broken down by common bacteria. All of the solutions used within this study utilized PCL polymer. Although I have not directly looked into the environmental impacts of PCL production, if our product is successful, the electrospun PCL mesh would naturally degrade within the body while new tissue grows through the scaffold.

      1. Thank you for your reply! I have a better understanding of your project and how the PCL mesh would naturally degrade in the body. I find this fascinating!

  2. Thank you for the references to the water and oil in salad dressing and to cotton candy that helped me understand your research
