I think that your poster is a great reminder of how important it is to take hypertension seriously. At this point I’m almost surprised if a patient doesn’t have hypertension and many nurses see it so often that they don’t take it as seriously as they should.
Great information regarding reducing hypertensive crisis admissions. It is definitely something that is an issue on the cardiac units. I like how you included three different research articles on your poster presentation. I have found it interesting how many patients don’t take their BP medications or cut them in half or kind of self-dose themselves. Always try to educate on talking with their providors if the are having symptoms instead of just stopping or self-dosing. Thanks for sharing your research.
