Karen,
Wow! Your poster is amazing. I clearly need to up my graphics game in the future. I love your topic- nurses don’t often think about neonates being at risk for pressure ulcers like we do the frail and elderly. Your graphics are placed perfectly and pull your information together wonderfully. This poster is concise and informative. Great job.
Awe thanks J.J., My teens have taught me quite a bit on how to make things look nice. I spend a lot of time proofing too. I have on occasion started IV’s on older people and I agree that the frailty of skin is similar to neonates. In either population it is possible to prevent pressure injuries when as nurses, we have the right tools.
Karen, Wonderful job on your poster! It is easy to tell this subject is from the heart! Your information and pictures are all perfect! There is a lot of great data that is easy for a person to follow and learn from. Great work!
Thank you Amy. Next semester I might not make my projects as beautiful because my teenager will be in college also. I always have the great ideas and she tweaks them to be perfect. Your comments are so kind. I do love being a nurse and caring for my patients with very special skin care needs, you are right about that.
Karen,
I think you did an excellent job on your poster. As a nurse most don’t think about neonates developing pressure sores. It is every educational as well as informational. Have you known of a neonate that has suffered from a pressure sore? What made you think to pick this topic?
