Hey guys! My name is Allie Murphy. I am a relatively new nurse. I started nursing in 2017 when I graduated from LPN school and then graduated last May from RN school. I work at a small hospital in North Central Kansas. I am always open to learning new things and love school! I have always been the weird kid that would get super stoked to buy school supplies up into high school….well actually, I still love buying a nice new pen that really tickles the paper just right or a pretty and clean notebook. I plan on completing more education after my BSN but I’m taking it one step at a time. The end goal for me would be as a nursing instructor to work with the young minds of the future!
The first picture is my fiance, Trevor, and I at the opening for the new Star Wars movie, The Rise of Skywalker. We make a point to see all the Star Wars and Marvel movies on opening day so we are not tempted by spoilers! The second picture is of our fur baby–or maybe I should say our fur-less baby, Alopecia the Sphynx Cat. He helps me study most nights by cuddling close or walking across the keyboard, depending on his mood. We named him Alopecia because my fiance is also a nurse, graduated from FHSU in 2018, and we figured that the name was just too fitting!
Hi Allie! It’s nice to “meet” you. I have found a couple different people, in these classes, that also have a spouse that is a nurse. It is nice to come home at night and be able to talk to someone about what is going on and they know exactly what you are talking about. Your cat is adorable! I have 2 cats and 2 dogs.
